Riddle me this
Why do the foreigners seem more concerned with the welfare of our animals than Singaporeans? Look at these two newspaper columns.
- Shame on you, animal bullies
- Cats are purr-fect pets, yes, even in HDB flats (New Paper, March 7, 2006)
This is another letter. Why don't we have more locals who are willing to prove the conviction of their views, locals who are willing to write, to the press and to the authorities?
Check any of the online forums and what-nots, there's no lack of opinions, and some of these peeps present really salient arguments and points. Why don't we see these points in the media? Do we need to be reminded?
"Animals cannot speak, but can you and I not speak for them and represent them? Let us all feel their silent cry of agony and let us all help that cry to be heard in the world." ~Rukmini Devi Arundale- Go to Pawprints: TNRM - Go to SINGAPORE UGLY / Casefile: Cruel Singapore.
